Top 5 Weirdest Foods you won't put in your Mouth

We like to exotic foods and try to experience new and different tastes. Every country has its own culture and traditions, similarly they have their unique foods. To them, these food items might be great, but for people like us...not so much!! Here we have a list of food items that you will thing twice about before putting them in your mouth.

5. Fugu

Fugu is an extremely poisonous fish that the Japanese prepare as a delicacy. There is enough poison in this fish to be lethal. Only extremely well trained chefs, who are certified to cook this fish are allowed to do so. The training takes about two to three years. Some chefs choose to leave very little amounts of poison in the dish (obviously not a dangerous amount) for the diners to experience that tingly feeling in they tongues and the entire mouth.

4. Sannakji

Eating raw fish is not that big a deal as we have sushi and sashimi available reasonably easily in most parts of the world. The Korean delicacy sannakji however, is something quite different, coz the food ain't dead.

3. Balut

I just felt really really sad when I saw this. To eat a baby duck that has not even been born yet is....well, BARBARIC. The nearly-developed embryo is boiled and then eaten like a crazy person. I read something about people eating human babies (which turned out to be untrue), which was considered disgusting. To me this is no less.

2. Casu Marzu AKA Maggot Cheese

Whenever I hear or see something weird to do with CHEESE, it usually is in Italy. The cheese has insects and larvae roaming around in it like it was their own back yard. To be very honest, that is what it is meant to be, a home to these insets, maggots and other little creatures. These larvae are added to the cheese to promote a level of fermentation that is close to decomposition, at which point the cheese’s fats are broken down, which helps with the taste. It is said that the smell of dirty socks is almost heaven as compared to the smell of this food item.

1. Kopi Luwak

Probably the most expensive coffee that there is. It is made out of coffee berries, which are eaten by Asian Palm Civet (cat like animal). The acids and juices ferment the coffee within the stomach and intestines on the civet but as they cannot digest these beans they POOP them out. They are then cleaned, roasted and sold. My concern is --> WHAT A LITTLE BIT OF SHIT STAYS THERE!!!!

Tip of the dayKnow what you put in your mouth.
