Sports are an active part of all our lives. Here is a list of the best sportsman EVER. You might disagree with me on a few rankings, but hey..these are MY ranking..so enjoy.
20. Bobby Orr
One of the greatest Hockey (or Ice Hockey as majority of the world refers to it) player ever. He has made a reputation of being exceptional at the sport so here he is at our number 20.
19. Pol Amat
Rated as the best field hockey player ever, the Spanish player has made it to our number 19. Some might say the BEST would have to be Jamie Dwyer but that is more of a discussion for some other time.
18. Roger Federer
A number ending argument - Who is the best tennis player - Federer or Sampras. Federer is definately one of the best but I think he has a long way to go.
17. Mark Spitz
The person who revolutionized the swimming with this records. Mark is definitely the best in the sport.
16. Sir Donald Bradman
Not many people know about cricket especially not in the US. However, this is a reasonably popular sport in the UK, Australia, India and Pakistan etc. Sir Donald was the batsman who made the sport what it is.
15. Pele
The person who made football/soccer what it is today. The revolutionizer of Brazilian football, Pele has successfully made it to number 15.
14. Wayne Gretzky
The retired ice hockey player has made it to our number 14.
13. Ronaldinho
Ronaldinho is currently one of greatest and one of the most paid soccer players in the world. He has done enough to be on our number 13.
12. Ted Williams
Ted Williams was an amazing baseball player with excellent stats. He passed away in 2002 but the legend lives on.
11. Tom Brady
One of the top two football players, Tom always goes head to dead with Manning. It seems like a never ending argument i.e. who is the best football player of all time. We believe that Tom...very deservingly should be at number 11.
10. Cristiano Ronaldo
Currently the most expensive player in the sport, CR is one of the greatest of all time.
9. Babe Ruth
The legend Babe Ruth dominated the sport for twenty years and therefore he believe that he should be our number 9.
8. Lance Armstrong
I'll be very honest. He is the only person I know in this sport. Making such a reputation has got him to number 8.
7. Peyton Manning
The only competition that Tom Brady has, Peyton Manning is (in my view), the best football player to ever come on the field.
6. Michael Schumacher
Similar to Lance Armstrong, Mr. Schumacher is the only person I know in the racing arena. Therefore I would put him on number 6.
5. Pete Sampras
In my books, Pete is the greatest of all time. Federer is not too far off but at the moment Mr. Sampras is the best at Tennis.
4. Diego Maradona
Maradona had the best movies in the sports. I am quite sure he is the person who gave everyone else ideas about the unique movies that take place in football today.
3. Tiger Woods
The best gold player, even with all this scandals and what not. Mr. Wood wins absolutely every tournament and therefore he makes it to number 3.
2. Michael Jordan
Michael Jordon was a very commercial guy but he was actually a very good player as well. A master of TWO sports gives him the right to be here.
1. Muhammad Ali
Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee...the best quote of the century. Muhammad Ali was awarded the best sportsman of the century and SO..he has also made it to the top of our list.
There you have it. The top twenty sportsman of all time.
